Yes, I have finally started playing WoW again after quitting for 5 months upon discovery that Peter & Jlo is playing it together. Thus, I have created a Nightelf Druid on Proudmoore to join their quest for supremacy in Northrend.

A bit disappointed that warlocks aren’t as powerful anymore, so I’m kind of lazy to level my main which is a warlock on Frostmourne.

Starting from level 1 again sucks. Boy…a lot of walking, no mount and doing quests and quests can get a bit mind numbing. Oh well…the saga continues…

Yay it’s my birthday today. I official turn 23, and no more the younger twenty-two-een. First to wish me was Bee but she cheated though by wishing me at 10.20pm. Then it was followed by my family members.

Oh, and I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone last night and it was like 12.20am, so I went “umm…aren’t you going to wish me?”. Slight pause. A heartbeat passes by. “Oh crappppp….I set my alarm at 8.30pm and I was going to wish you”, she exclaimed. But it was like 9.20pm her time already? I don’t get it. Hong Yi is in Malaysia at the moment, so she’s 3 hours behind. I gave her crap after that haha and she’ll probably give me crap now for this hehe.

So I woke up at my usual 7.10am on my birthday, did the usual, went to work. Was planning to have lunch with my colleagues but my 11am client meeting went for so long that I only got out at 1.30pm. By that time they’ve all had lunch already.

Boohoo, so I went to galleries victoria and had thai lunch by myself. Emo. Immediately I thought of Celine Dion’s song, All By Myself.

Then I bumped into Pee-tah at boost and off I went back to work. They bought me blueberry cheesecake from Michelle’s patisserie which was yum.

So the hours passed and I finally finished work and had dinner with my cousin as some secluded Korean place called Mandang. Lots of meat which I liked. Ate till my belt moved a notch, thinking to myself, “Hmm…gym tomorrow”.

Here I am, back at home. Home sweet home. It’s good to be home after a long day’s work. Checked Facebook and saw over 30+ notices of people writing on my wall. So…

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have messaged me via sms and also left messages in Facebook. Thank Facebook for reminding them it was my birthday today haha. I would like to individually reply to every single message but that would take me all night and so I’m a bit lazy, daunted, and overwhelmed by the feat.

And finally thank God for all the blessings that have been poured onto me, for giving life meaning and purpose, for being actively involved in people’s lives and for his saving grace.

Goodnight all and it’s back to work tomorrow!

You guessed it. Mamak night was a day full of cooking and eating at my place. Had a bunch of friends over and I want to make a special note the common behaviour I see in Malaysians. Punctuality.

Peter Teoh, the famous Malaysian himself, said he was going to come over to my place around 1pm since he was a co-organiser. But he only arrived at around 3.30pm.

Yes, I too am not a very punctual person. I sent the Facebook invite out to start at 11am but decided to tell people to come around 2pm instead since I wanted to sleep in a little and had to go do some shopping and errands during the day time.

The two things I was going to cook was curry chicken and roti canai. Curry chicken I thought wasn’t going to be too hard but I had to challenge myself by making roti canai from scratch! Yes, that’s right. From scratch.

Totally forgot there were more pictures in my dead camera. Hong Yi was looking for pictures from our trip to the ACMI video game exhibition. The exhibition exhibits all the old school games such as Pac Man and Mario Brothers to the modern games such as Wii and X-Box.

Hong Yi and I were playing Mario Brothers as it was one of our favourite childhood games. Here’s a screenshot if you don’t remember what it is.

Boy do I have to say that both of us don’t have teamwork! She especially tries to kill and sabotage me by getting all the coins and kicking all the bumped monsters, while not helping me at all! We definitely don’t do well during team events, hehe.

Ok I’ve been consistently bugged by my girlfriend to put up pictures from my trip to Melbourne in June. Unfortunately few days into my trip, my camera decided to commit suicide and die of mechanical failure. Thus tilll today I am still left camera-less.

Thinking of getting a DSLR once I get my tax return in. But can I justify spending $1000+ for it?

Anyways, here’s some pictures taken from my trip. Unfortunately it’s not much and most of it is still on Hong Yi’s camera.

Dinner with some other friends: Denise, Joel, Jonathan, Adrianne.

I’m meant to be doing my thesis (which is due in 2 weeks!) but this sudden urge to get a mp3 player has crept up. Usually I’m not an avid fan of apple products because

  1. Their new products usually have defects and problems. It only gets fixed after several revisions and complaints from the consumers.
  2. Apple’s extended warranty is so expensive but so essential as you’re bound to get tangled with battery, hard drive and display problems.
  3. Apple products and accessories are so proprietary oriented. I love open source.
  4. I once owned a mini ipod and I totally hated it. Had a lot of battery and hard drive issues. It got stolen when my car got broken into. I was glad the mini ipod was stolen and upset that my car window got smashed.

So why am I still considering the iPod Touch and iPod Nano? Well, I must admit that I really do like their design and interface. Pretty cool. Just bad hardwares. There aren’t any decent competitors out there as well. If there are, I’d definitely go buy them over Apple to help topple Apple from their reign over the mp3 player market.

So what’s the verdict? iPod Nano has been out in the market for some time now which means the hardware and software would’ve been improved and hence more stable. The new design looks pretty cool as well.

iPod Touch looks sexily awesome. Big display screen. Very thin body. Downside? New product. I smell disappointment. Also with new products come bigger price tags and the older products get cheaper.

The nano looks slightly promising at the moment.

Bloc party was playing at the Hordern Pavilion last Saturday. Brian, my sister and I went to it after having dinner at Ayam Goreng, a Indonesian/Malaysian restaurant in Kingsford.

I was pretty impressed with the food: ayam bakar, satay, kangkung. Even the sambal was genuinely hot! The satay and kangkung wasn’t cheap though. $7 for each dish and I think there were only 5 satay sticks (yes, I’m comparing to Malaysia). The ayam bakar was $6.50, which was pretty reasonable in my opinion. Unfortunately I didn’t take photos of the dishes as I was too lazy and incredibly hungry.

So we headed to Fox Studios after dinner. The support band was Midnight Juggernauts. Music was alright, but the singing was kinda weird. The keyboardist made attempts to dance while playing the keyboard, but it looked like he was humping it instead.

Bloc Party was absolutely great. Great lighting, sound and interaction with the crowd. The drummer took off his shirt and was pretty much playing shirtless throughout the show. He didn’t really have a good body though, some fluff on his chest and had lanky arms. Oh well, he’s the Bloc Party drummer after all so I guess he could pull it off.

Here are some photos:

Back from the beautiful Terrigal, Central Coast. We lived in a very nice house just next to the beach. Pretty amazing if you ask me. Only $50 for the weekend.
